Create a super simple Japanese style Tuna bursting with salty, wasabi flavour and a rich sesame taste.
For this recipe, you will need Sushi-Grade Tuna. It is very important that the fish is fresh, and sushi-grade.
Cooking time: 10 minutes
-150g Sesame Seeds (Black or white, black adds a visual touch)
-Toasted Sesame Oil
Have your fishmonger slice the Tuna into equal slices, or slice it yourself but make sure the slices are more or less equal.
Mix together in a bowl, two tablespoons of soy sauce, two tablespoons of sesame oil, and a teaspoon of wasabi. Mix until all blended and fairly thick. Taste and add more to your liking.
Brush the tuna steaks with the sauce. Empty sesame seeds onto a plate and roll the tuna steaks onto the sesame seeds until the steaks are fully coated.
Heat a teaspoon of sesame oil into a frying pan, and place tuna steaks onto the pan. Fry them lightly on medium heat for 30 seconds each side.
Take them off, and keep left over sauce to dip into.
